Absolutely! The main goal of Tripsitter is to encourage harm reduction for people who need it most, regardless of it they are in a place where they can pay for such a service.
We also offer optional methods for giving tips and donations to your Trip Sitter. If you can, this is a great way to show your appreciation for their time and effort.
We take the most minimal approach to using any data we have to use to run the service, and are generally very good about clearing all data. Please read more about what we do in our Privacy Policy.
With that being said, we are still somewhat limited in much we can encourage anonymity due to having Discord as a dependency. We reduce all information sent through their API to a minimum, but it should be noted that if this is a serious concern you may also want to take the time to make sure your Discord account is not revealing of your identity in obvious ways.
Type that you need to cancel in your personal channel. Something like "Need to cancel, sorry!" will work.
It seems you found a bug! If you could document what steps you took to get into the situation and send them into the form below, it would be very helpful so that we could improve Tripsitter and remove this bug.
To send in a new request or refresh, simply start using the /find command in your personal channel again. Sorry for making you restart!
Your Trip Sitter dedicates their time and expertise into making sure you're safe, all out of their own heart. It's for this reason we make it as easy as possible to donate to them. Using the /find command, you will have an option tip your Trip Sitter. When a time is scheduled, you'll be given their person Bitcoin address. If they did a great job during your trip, you are also free to send them more at a later time.
